The rules for using eTROC to buy, sell and swap second-hand items.
Last updated 9 October 2026
1. About these terms
These terms govern your use of eTROC (etroc.app), its agent on connected channels and its browser extension. By creating an account or using eTROC you agree to them and to our Privacy Policy. If you use eTROC for a business, you accept these terms on its behalf.
2. Your account
- You must be at least 16 and able to enter a binding contract where you live.
- Give accurate details and keep your sign-in credentials private; you're responsible for activity on your account.
- Buyer accounts are free. Seller and Business accounts unlock listing tools; any paid features will be shown with their price before you buy.
- You can close your account at any time in Account → Data & privacy.
3. eTROC's role
eTROC is a platform that connects buyers, sellers and people who want to swap. Unless a listing clearly says otherwise, eTROC is not the seller, doesn't own or inspect listed items, and isn't a party to agreements between members. Some listings come from other public marketplaces; for those, the deal happens with the original seller under that marketplace's rules.
4. Listings
- List only items you own or are authorised to sell, described honestly, with real photos, condition and price.
- You keep ownership of your photos and text, and give eTROC a worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, display, adapt and promote them to run the service, until you remove them.
- We may edit formatting, categorise, rank or remove listings, and match them with buyers using AI.
5. Prohibited items and behaviour
You may not list or trade anything illegal where you or the buyer are located, including weapons, drugs, counterfeit goods, stolen property, recalled or unsafe products, live animals, or adult content. You may not harass members, spam, scrape the service, impersonate others, manipulate prices or reviews, or try to move payments off-platform to defraud someone. We may suspend or close accounts that break these rules, and report illegal activity to the authorities.
6. Buying, selling and swapping
- Price, payment, delivery or pickup, and any returns are agreed directly between buyer and seller.
- Meet in safe public places, inspect items before paying, and never send money to someone you haven't verified.
- Sellers are responsible for meeting the consumer, tax and safety rules that apply to them; Business accounts must comply with professional-seller obligations.
7. The eTROC agent
The agent searches live listings and suggests matches. It can make mistakes: check every listing yourself before you buy or sell. The agent only acts on the channels you connect and never pays, buys or sells on your behalf.
8. Availability and changes
We're opening country by country, starting with Morocco. We may change, suspend or discontinue features, and we'll give reasonable notice of changes that significantly affect you. We'll post updated terms here; continuing to use eTROC after they take effect means you accept them.
9. Paid services
Paid services (credits, Troc Boosts, Listing Spotlights, Seller Pro and Business seats) are paid with a unique payment reference: by bank transfer or cash deposit (Wafacash, Cash Plus, Damane Cash) in MAD for members located in Morocco, or by international bank transfer in USD from any country. Card checkout, once available, is sold by Lemon Squeezy as merchant of record. Credits are non-refundable, non-transferable between members, usable only for eTROC services, and expire twelve months after purchase. eTROC never holds money for peer-to-peer trades — buyers and sellers settle directly.
10. Marketplace data sources
City coordinates for worldwide search may include data from GeoNames (CC-BY 4.0). Listings imported from partner marketplaces remain owned by their original sellers; eTROC links out to the source ad.
11. Liability
eTROC is provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, eTROC isn't liable for the quality, safety or legality of items, the conduct of members, or indirect or consequential losses. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law, or your statutory rights as a consumer.
12. Ending your use
You can stop using eTROC and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms or to protect members, and we'll explain why unless the law prevents it. You can contest a decision by writing to us.
13. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Morocco, without depriving you of the protection of mandatory consumer laws in the country where you live. Please contact us first so we can try to resolve any issue informally.
